Faces of Hawaii Project

We had a lot of fun photographing all of the cute kids that came to our casting call this past weekend!
So many cute faces! We are working on getting the calendar to the printer this week but we wanted to give you a sneak peek at some of our favorite expressions!

The calendar is available for purchase through us, just give us a call at 638-5050 or come see our booth at the Made in Hawaii show the weekend of August 14th... we will have it there as well. Proceeds from the sale of this calendar goes to helping Shriners Hospital for Children with their expansion of the Honolulu facility.

Thanks to all of you who came out and we hope that you will all stock up on the calendar for yourself and for gifts to help out this worthy cause!

peace and aloha,
Joanne

catching up...

I have had severe blog neglect lately, and for those of you that are regular readers I apologize!
Between the big move and then Haleiwa Arts Festival, taking care of clients that were here on the island a short time  and a few other things in between I just fell far behind! I am back now though, my computers are set up and ready to go!!
The move went well (not counting the several broken nails and break outs!) and we are almost fully settled. We just unpacked the last box and only have a few things to put a way and lots of stuff to hang up, but it is so good to be 'home'!! We have had the most wonderful welcome back from the community on the North Shore and now I realize just how much I missed seeing all the familiar faces around here! The North Shore is full of characters, amazing people, lots of talent, great friends and calabash ohana... it truly is a different world out here and I feel so lucky to be a part of it!
The studio is up and running although it is a work in progress, it is so nice.. and for those of you w
I have had several inquiries lately about whether or not I shoot anything other than children and families, and while that is definitly my first love, I also really enjoy other kinds of sessions too. I do a few weddings a year I really love to do engagement sessions. This is a couple that I worked with recently.. they met here in the islands when he was stationed here and she was on vacation, they fell in love and are now planning their wedding! They came back to do their photos with me and it is so fun to be a part of their lives! We had a great session and went to a couple of different locations... here are a few of my favorites.....
