We got a pool...

and now I need models!! I actually have several models lined up for some of the things I want t9o do, but I do need a couple of pregnant models now! If you are or if you know someone who is about 8 months pregnant and likes to be in the water, please contact me as soon as possible.... we are shooting on December 19th at a private home Kahala. It should be tons of fun....  we have a hair and makeup artist coming and I would also love another makeup artist and someone who is into fashion and styling to join us.
This will be a very open and artistic session and a collaboration of several artistic minds... and we will be trading photos for the models and other artists time.
So if this sounds like fun to you, give me or my assistant Sarah (who will be coordinating everything) a call!
and of course I will post images as soon as I have them!!

Happy Thanksgiving

I hope everyone has a joyous holiday! I am thankful for all the wonderful things in my life and am so grateful for all I have been blessed with.

We have had lots of fun making some really adorable holiday cards for these families!!

HOLIDAY UPDATE...  I should have posted this sooner  but we are completely full for November the only openings and  December are now limited to  newborn babies for hapai clients and commercial clients. We limit the schedule for December and close down the studio completely for about 10 days so that my staff and I can catch up, take a deep breath and then spend some holiday time with our own families.
We have had a wonderful year and for that I am so grateful to everyone that was part of it!

Wanted: a Pool & a Warehouse

Yes, that sounds odd.... but I am looking for a backyard swimming pool to use for a couple hours one afternoon for some underwater images that I want to create! So if you know of anyone that wouldn't mind me and a couple 'models' playing around... I would trade them some photos for the usage fee!

I am also looking for a warehouse space to use to create some dance & movement images... we need a fairly large space so the talent can really move around!

I am working on some ideas for some fun "artsy" projects... I would love to be collaborative with some models, maybe a makeup artist or stylist too!

growing old

there is a saying that growing old is not for sissies... that is so true as with age comes a lot of wisdom, but it seems also a lot of complications and pain to deal with.
I haven't been here on the blog much because of a very hectic October.... and I can hardly believe it is already November now! I made two trips to the Mainland last month to visit my 80 year old Mom. Her health is failing fast and I know we won't have her around much longer. She is dealing with Alzheimer's which is just a cruel and horrible disease. After a long healthy life of being a very sweet, kind and caring person, this disease is turning her into someone my brothers and I have never known. On top of dealing with the depression and anxiety this disease causes, she fell and broke her hip which is a huge set back and now is on heavy medications which cause all sorts of other complications. Now the newest diagnosis this week is that she also has Parkinson's. I just feel like this is such a crappy way to go out in life and it doesn't seem fair.
Anyway, I am sharing all of this with you just as a reminder to spend time with those you love... tell them how important they are, and enjoy your time here. Be especially grateful for your health and well being and take care of yourself and those you love.
